A Nand write protect diagram which simply write protects the NAND Flash in the Xbox 360 by connecting WP to a ground pin.  While this modification will certainly be against the terms of service and get you banned if you perform it you wont be hit as hard as the 1,000,000 users that have had their boxes and respective HDD units rendered useless. This modification does not stop MS from banning a console but only prevents the deletion of the HD installation certificates required by games which means you can still install them on the hard drive.

NAND, Flash, Pins, Modification, Ground Pin, I have no clue what any of this means but it looks like its good news for pirates..Using the above diagram I would take something pointy I guess and look for something that resembled this chip and remove the labeled prong.  But, knowing me I would start out with a pen that wouldn’t work and I would move to a fork or knife.  Which wouldn’t work also, and in the process I would either electrocute myself or really make the thing useless so here’s  an alternative to this diagram in fixing your HDD problems as listed below.
