Well over the last couple of days the PC guys have been finding all kinds of hidden code in the Modern Warfare 2 game. New gametypes mainly. There are three found so far, VIP, Global Thermonuclear War ( where one side must capture a nuke see vid below) Capture the Flag ( Single Flag, Two Teams). I’m thinking it’s pretty safe to assume that IW will unlock these modes with a very small file and it will only cost you 15 bucks. But since I know nothing about computers in general and just manipulating the code on my website software has caused a lot of undue retardation, I’m thinking I have no right to make that claim, but if its not there for DLC, why the hell would they leave it in there. With attention paid to every other detail in the game, it doesn’t make sense to leave it in there if it didn’t serve some useful purpose here in the future.
So there take that Infinity Ward you are either really greedy forward planning DLC dropping bastards, or lazy. Take your choice.. Tell us what you think. Are you happy with the way that publishers are including DLC on disc to be distributed or “unlocked” later? Judging from the videos, would you buy it?

i dont think this will be DLC(well i hope not) i think it will be gametypes that they will introduce now and again, like they did not long ago by adding mosh pit and 3rd person team tactical

Yeah you would think that after banking 300M on the game we could get some new game types bundled in, and I can’t speak for the PS3 users but I have the distinct feeling that I will be paying for these game modes and a couple maps fairly shortly for 10-15 more dollars…

Hopefully not, they may just be free DLC or things that didn’t make the final cut but stayed on the disc.

I’m just waiting for someone to bring a lawsuit up against one of these publishers/developers for double-dipping. In a technical sense, we bought the game and the content on that disc is ours. We shouldn’t have to pay again to unlock content already on the disc, physically in our possession. I mean, if you buy a new car, but the turbo charger (installed) is (somehow) locked or throttled unless you pay extra…that wouldn’t fly at all.
